The objective of WP1 is to provide standardized gridded fields of natural and anthropogenic drivers for EU27+ which are then used both as input to modelling and data analysis in WP2, WP4, WP5 and WP6 via the GHG-Europe database (WP7).
WP1 will compile in harmonized space and time resolution long-term statistical and geo-referenced data and remote sensing products on natural and human drivers that document changes in climate, land use, land management, nitorgen (N) deposition and in lateral carbon (C) flows.
Drivers also include socio-economic data, agricultural and land use related policies and international trade information as a basis for plausible projections consistent with past and present patterns.
All driver fields are made available on at least a 0.25x0.25° grid for EU27+ (27 member states of the European Union plus Switzerland) which is the smallest common grid size for all variables. Where possible and appropriate, driver fields are also provided at finer spatial resolution.
